It’s common knowledge that Nike has been pushing sustainable efforts for quite some time now, after all the label does have an entire “Move to Zero” range that’s dedicated to minimizing waste when creating sneakers. along with this, the brand has been using plenty of sustainable construction materials such as recycled grind rubber and pineapple leather for a while. However, images have just emerged of what could possibly be the most sustainable take on the Nike Air force 1 ever.

Crafted from animal-free vegan pineapple leather and woven cork, there seems to be no part of these sneakers that are built from anything wasteful, which is certainly a step in the ideal direction for the Swoosh brand. The design language here quickly brings the Nike Air Woven to mind, a sneaker that was prevalent throughout the early 2000s. While we’re not sure just yet, it’s likely that this upcoming pair is another collaboration between Nike and Ananas Anam Ltd, the designer of Piñatex. Make sure to keep it locked in ideal here for the current and it’s unveiled and while you are here check out your best look yet at the SoleFly x Air Jordan 1 Low!
